    Lyophilized:Store vial at 4° C prior to restoration. Restore with 1.0 mL of deionized water (or equivalent). For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Expiration date is one (1) year from date of restoration.

Are your secondary antibodies made against hamster IgG made against Armenian hamster IgG? (e.g. #66783, 6892, 7146)? Approximately what dilution of them would you recommend for an ELISA assay? Are there any pros or cons to rabbit vs. goat? Thanks, K. Spindler

These antibodies are made against Golden Syrian hamster. The ELISA data suggest the following dilutions: ab6783 is 1:4000 - 1:20,000, ab6892 is 1:15,000 -1:65,000,and ab7146 is 1:4,000 - 1:20,000. There should be no difference in the hosts - it simply provides a choice. However, goat host has a minimal cross-reactivity and rabbit has anti-F(ab')2. We will soon have antisera and IgG fractions to Armenian hamster and are working on affinity purified antisera, but that will take some months.
