Question

I received the Ab but unfortunately it doesn’t work!! I had tried the previous, contaminated, batch just in case it worked but it didn’t. We do have a positive control which we tested (an older Abcam anti sheep-HRP) which we got an aliquot of from a colleague and this worked. But on the same protein extracts and same primary Ab, testing of the two batches none have worked.

I see that you shipped batch GR5200-6. When I phoned I am certain I was told that that batch was also contaminated. Could you please check?

We had checked the lot GR5200-6 and have not seen a contamination, this is why we have sent you one vial of this lot.

I am very sorry however to hear that the new vial does not work for you. We will be pleased to send you an alternative antibody as a replacement as we do not have any other lots of this antibody in stock. Can you please confirm in what dilution you have tested this antibody and it does not work?

Thank you for your phone call. Unfortunately the vial we had ready to ship for you was also contaminated upon check. We are receiving however today the new stock from the our US office. I can unfortunately not guartantee that we can ship it out today still. I am very sorry. I will update you as soon as I know more.

The order number is xx and will be shipped as soon as possible. The new vial will be from batch xx and will be also in an amber vial. We changed the vials recently, just to be sure that long exposure to light would not damage the conjugate.
