Inquiry: Hi, we recently got your Goat polyclonal secondary antibody to rabbit IgG- H&L, pre-adsorbed, ab7085. The datasheet states that the storage buffer contains: 0.01% sodium azide as a presevative and further more 10mg/ml BSA, 0.15M Sodium chloride, 0.02M Potassium phosphate. pH 7.2. As we want to conjugate this antibody ourselves, the very high BSA content is a problem. Thus, we purified the Abs using a IgG binding column. After this we evaluated the fractions by SDS-PAGE. We could not observe any BSA, not even in the unpurified sample (stated to contain 10 times as much BSA compared to goat pAb). The question is then, is there an error in your Datasheet? Or is there an error somewhere else? Did we obtain the correct antibody? It would be very nice if you could just confirm if there's a problem in the datasheet, or what else could be the cause for us not detecting any BSA in our sample.

I have been in contact with the lab and they have double checked the storage buffer. I can confirm that ab7085 does not contain any BSA. I am very sorry for this error on our part and I appreciate the time and effort you have gone to to remove BSA from our product.
