    Hahaha, yes you are right, the original secondary was anti-rabbit, not anti-mouse.   I do appreciate the customer friendlyness you show, and I cross my fingers for getting the assay to work with the new antibodies.

      Dear John, Thanks for the quick response. Has the ab55075 any proven mouse reactivity? The web info states only human reactivity...   I don't want to spend time and reagents on trying an antibody not proven to be working on mouse GR. Please advice.

    Thank you for your reply. The antibody ab55075 has not been proven to work on mouse tissue, there is a chance that the antibody will work on mouse tissue but we cannot guarantee it. The only other antibody in our catalogue that will work on mouse tissue in IHC-P, is ab106843, which is a rat monoclonal. If this antibody is not suitable then I would be happy to process a refund for you. The refund would have to go back onto the credit card that was used in the original purchase. I look forward to your response.

    Hi again, I have another problem now, unfortunately of a worse nature.   The anti-glutathione reductase antibody does not work for us. I've tried a number of protocol variations for IHC-P (including +/- heat antigen retrieval) without any specific staining. As a last resort we did a western on mouse tissue that we empirically know contains glutathine reductase, with various protein load and high primary antibody concentration, however without any specific bands.

    I am sorry that you are having problems using ab16801 in IHC-P and in western blot. Normally I would try and offer protocol tips for the IHC-P staining but the fact that you are not getting a signal when using the antibody in western blot does show that the antibody is not working as guaranteed. I would be happy to send you a new antibody, I checked back on your original order and found the lot number of the vial of glutathione reductase that you have. Currently we have the same lot that you originally ordered for ab16801 and so I could either send you a new vial of that antibody (maybe it was affected by the transit) or I could send you a different glutathione reductase antibody, ab55075 may be a suitable alternative. If neither of these options would work for you, then I could process a refund.

    I'm visiting Lincoln NE for collaborative research. Here I've been doing immunohistochemical experiments, using your antibodies.   When I return on Thursday I would like to bring the antibodies with me. How temperature sensitive are your antibodies? Can I put them in my hand luggage in room temperature for the 12 hours trip home, without damaging the antibodies too much? Or do I have to transport the antibodies in dry ice?   Item numbers ab22604, ab16801, ab7082.

    The antibodies should be stable at room temperature for that short period of time. It at all possible though, if you can even keep them with an ice pack that would be better. If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
