    I have various normal human cell lines and tumor cell lines. My primary antibody is raised in goat. I am getting bands showing up in the negative control (secondary only). Looks like the secondary is binding non-specifically to the proteins in the lysates. I am using it at a 1/2000 dilution. I had the same problem with another secondary from another company, but this problem was cleared up by using one that had been pre-asorbed against human IgG. Has this secondary antibody been pre-adsorbed against human IgG, also?

    Ab7125 has only been pre-adsorbed to the following: Chicken, Guinea Pig, Hamster, Horse, Mouse, Rabbit and Rat Serum Proteins. So, it most likely is binding non-specifically to proteins in your lysates. If you have any more questions, please contact us again.
