Toutatis-like kinase 1 (TLK1) also known as serine/threonine-protein kinase tousled-like 1 is a kinase that plays a role in DNA repair and chromatin assembly. Its molecular mass is approximately 85 kDa. It is widely expressed in various human tissues with notable expression in the testis and brain. TLK1 primarily functions during DNA replication where it phosphorylates substrates that are vital for maintaining genomic stability.
