RGS10 also known as Regulator of G-protein Signaling 10 is a 20 kDa protein that regulates G-protein signaling. This protein accelerates the GTPase activity of the G alpha subunits leading to termination of the G-protein signaling. RGS10 expresses mainly in the brain and immune cells where it modulates signal transduction processes. It influences cellular responses significantly due to its ability to deactivate active G-proteins by increasing their GTPase activity.
Biological function summary

RGS10 plays a role in immune responses and neural function. It is not typically part of larger protein complexes but it interacts independently with other proteins in cellular signaling pathways. In the immune system RGS10 influences various processes such as cytokine production and leukocyte function.
