      Factor Xa is a vitamin K-dependent glycoprotein that converts prothrombin to thrombin in the presence of factor Va, calcium and phospholipid during blood clotting.

    Dear technical support: This customer raised an enquiry about ab77942 (Antithrombin III protein (Human)), ab95077 (Antithrombin III protein (Human)), ab91119 (Antithrombin III protein (Human)) and ab81748 (Factor Xa protein), this customer wants to know whether these protein can conduct functional assay with heparin or not? And he also wants to know can you offer the unit of these proteins to him? Could you please help this customer to solve the problem? Thanks for your kindly help Best regards

    I cannot recommend ab81748 (Factor Xa protein) for your customer. I believe your customer is looking for human protein and this one is from cow.

    Concerning the Antithrombin III proteins: two of them are tested for their functionality:

    ab77942 and ab91119 were tested for functionality by verifying thatthey will complex with Thrombin. Unfortunately, the assay does not measure “activity units”.
