    PTH elevates calcium level by dissolving the salts in bone and preventing their renal excretion. Stimulates [1-14C]-2-deoxy-D-glucose (2DG) transport and glycogen synthesis in osteoblastic cells.

    Defects in PTH are a cause of familial isolated hypoparathyroidism (FIH) [MIM:146200]; also called autosomal dominant hypoparathyroidism or autosomal dominant hypocalcemia. FIH is characterized by hypocalcemia and hyperphosphatemia due to inadequate secretion of parathyroid hormone. Symptoms are seizures, tetany and cramps. FIH exist both as autosomal dominant and recessive forms of hypoparathyroidism.

One of our customers needs an antibody Anti-Parathyroid hormone related protein such as ab85205. The antibody needs to recognize the Rat protein but non of the available antibodies have been tested for Rat. Would you suggest a certain antibody for that purpose and would it be possible to order it as part of the abreview promotion?
The customer also needs Parathyroid Hormone peptide for induction of the Ratreceptor such as ab42334, could this product also work for Rat and would you like to suggest abreview participation for it?

The immunogen sequence of ab85205 is 100% similar to rat parathyroid hormone related protein so it is more likely that this antibody will be able to detect the protein.

The protein ab42334 is a peptide, this is not a full length protein so it will not be a right choice. We unfortunately do not have full length active Parathyroid Hormone protein that can be used for receptor activation. You may need to consider checking other vendors websites.
