Immunoprecipitation - Anti-ZNF295 antibody (AB241956)
ZNF295 was immunoprecipitated from HeLa (human epithelial cell line from cervix adenocarcinoma) whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) with ab241956 at 3 μg/mg lysate. Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using ab241956 at 1 μg/ml.
Lane 1 : ab241956 IP in HeLa whole cell lysate.
Lane 2 : Control IgG IP in HeLa whole cell lysate.
Detection : Chemiluminescence with exposure time of 30 seconds.

Biological function summary
This transcription factor interacts with other proteins to modulate gene expression by forming complexes. It participates in regulating genes involved in cell growth and development. The zinc finger domain allows ZNF295 to bind DNA acting as a switch to activate or repress transcription. Through its activity it contributes to maintaining normal cellular function and responding to environmental changes which is essential for organismal homeostasis.
Pathways
ZNF295 plays roles in key signaling pathways such as the cell growth and differentiation pathways. It interacts with other transcription factors and proteins including members of the p53 family which are important in managing cell cycle and apoptosis. This involvement positions ZNF295 as a potential regulator of various cellular activities modulating the balance between cell survival and programmed cell death.
