WDR18 also known as WD repeat domain 18 is a protein that plays a role in cellular assembly processes. It has a mass of approximately 58 kDa and is found in several tissues including the brain and liver. WDR18 interacts with proteins containing WD repeats and functions as a scaffold for multiprotein complex assembly. This scaffolding role is essential in managing protein interactions necessary for cellular structure and movement.
Biological function summary

WDR18 functions within ribonucleoprotein complexes that are important for ribosome biogenesis. It acts in coordination with proteins like NOP58 and NCL within the nucleolus an important site for ribosome synthesis.
