The TSH protein ab110682 is purified human protein. So in theory it should be detected by any antibody which will cross react withhuman TSH. Although please make sure the antibody is also tested in the application of interest.

There is an error on the pdf form of our sandwich ELISA protocol, and the carbonate buffer should be around 9.6. I've looked through several protocols, and most recommend either a pH 9.6 carbonate buffer or a 7.4 PBS solution for coating. I think that the buffer you are currently using is fine, and I apologize for the mistake on the protocol.

It's possible that a higher concentration of antibody or antigen will help increase the signal. Could you send me some more details about the protocol and results that you've seen, and I will see if there are any suggestions or explanations?

I have have the chance to look over each of the TSH ELISA kits. Unfortunately it appears that none of the currently offered kits uses ab6069 or ab24921. It may be that the particular product that was recommended to you if no longer offered at Abcam.

Each of our kits is covered by our Abpromise and is 100% guaranteed to work should they be used in a manner consistent with what we have published in the datasheet. However,should you to perform a sandwichELISA using ab6069 I have found that the the matched pair for ab6069 is actually ab6070 and not ab24921. Again, if you decide to purchase this pair for use in sandwich ELISA they will be covered by our Abpromise.

I was able to find the conversion factor for IU to SI for TSH, that factor is 1.0 and may be found at the following website:

Our antibody ab24921 does not react with LH, FSH or HCG, however it is unclear which subunit of the TSH protein this antibody is directed against. On the other hand we do know that ab6069 is specific to the beta subunit of TSH but there is no further information at this time if the antibody shows any cross-reactivity with LH, FSH or HCG.
