From the WB image sent, it does look like you're getting a strong specific band at 50 kDa, which is the predicted MW for RARG according to Swiss Prot. It's also possible that the higher stronger band is a dimer. Do you have a lane where the MW markers are shown?

So since you're seeing the correct MW, is your concern the other background bands other than the 50 kDa band? You may be able to decrease non-specific binding by diluting the primary and secondary antibodies more, changing the blocking buffer or increasing the concentration or incubation time of the block, incubating the primary overnight at 4C, and including tween in the washes (3 x 5 mins). You may also want to run a no primary control to ensure that the secondary isn't binding non-specifically.

You don't have to worry about sending back the antibody. I'm not sure if there really is a problem here, it just seems like the background needs to be cleaned up a bit.
