  • 功能

    Transcription regulator involved in inner cell mass and embryonic stem (ES) cells proliferation and self-renewal. Imposes pluripotency on ES cells and prevents their differentiation towards extraembryonic endoderm and trophectoderm lineages. Blocks bone morphogenetic protein-induced mesoderm differentiation of ES cells by physically interacting with SMAD1 and interfering with the recruitment of coactivators to the active SMAD transcriptional complexes (By similarity). Acts as a transcriptional activator or repressor (By similarity). Binds optimally to the DNA consensus sequence 5'-TAAT[GT][GT]-3' or 5'-[CG][GA][CG]C[GC]ATTAN[GC]-3' (By similarity). When overexpressed, promotes cells to enter into S phase and proliferation.

Question

Antibody received Monday; did not store it at 4C as recommended on the datasheet. - Failed in IHC-P - Rat embryonic tissue lysates - Tried at 5ug/ml and also at other dilutions. - No staining at all.

I am sorry to hear that you have been experiencing problems with this antibody. The antibody was delivered on Friday and was received by you on Monday. Now not storing the products as recommended on the datasheet actually voids the Abpromise guarantee and we do believe that this was not an Abcam mistake. So technical we are not liable for replacement. We however have tested data of more than 1000 antibodies which shows the antibodies do not loose activity for about a week at RT. So In order to help you further in your experiment and you being a loyal Abcam customer we have decided to make an exception this time. We are sending you a free of charge replacement for this product. I do however would like to suggest that you should update the person who receives products from Abcam. They should be storing the products at 4C or as recommended on the datasheet. The order number for FOCR is 950162. I hope this will be helpful. Should you have any other question please do not hesitate to contact me.
