常规说明
A molecular complex composed of Rab27A, MYRIP and myosin VIIa bridges retinal melanosomes to the actin cytoskeleton and thereby mediates the local trafficking of these organelles. The defect of this molecular complex is likely to account for the perinuclear mislocalization of the melanosomes observed in the retinal pigment epithelium cells of myosin VIIa-defective mice.
The Life Science industry has been in the grips of a reproducibility crisis for a number of years. 功能
Rab effector protein involved in melanosome transport. Serves as link between melanosome-bound RAB27A and the motor proteins MYO5A and MYO7A. May link RAB27A-containing vesicles to actin filaments. -
组织特异性
Detected in brain, skin, heart, adrenal medulla, pancreas, intestine, liver, kidney, muscle and testis. -
序列相似性
Contains 1 FYVE-type zinc finger.
Contains 1 RabBD (Rab-binding) domain. -
细胞定位
Cytoplasm. In pre- and post-synaptic areas in photoreceptor cells and in the basal microvilli of retinal pigment epithelium cells. Associated with melanosomes. Colocalizes with actin filaments. - Information by UniProt
