Anti-MMP1抗体(ab38929)

The laboratory that produces this antibody reports that it is unlikely to cross-react with mouse MMP1:

"Mice make 2 forms of MMP-1, the A form (NP_114395.1) and the B form (NP_114396.3), although the proteins have long been thought to be made only during embryogenesis. MMP-13 seems to be the rodent version of MMP-1, and is often seen crossreacting with MMP-1 antibodies. The A and B isoforms differ by a deletion in the amino end, but are otherwise identical. Although MMP-1 is well conserved amongst other mammals, the mouse MMP-1 is divergent, with only 59% identity at the amino acid level. In short, none of our MMP-1 antibodies would be expected to react well with mouse MMP-1."

I am following up with them to see if the antibody might react with MMP13.

Also, I wanted to check homology betweenhuman and rat MMP1, but was not able to find the full length protein sequence for rat MMP1 in the database.
