    Non-neuronal microtubule-associated protein. Promotes microtubule assembly.

    Phosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR (By similarity). Phosphorylation on Ser-787 negatively regulates MAP4 activity to promote microtubule assembly. Isoform 3 is phosphorylated on Ser-337 and Ser-338.

    My samples are Human cells, Hela cells, I added to the lysis buffer cocktail of phosphotase inhibitors. I used dilution of 1:500 of the antibody. I ran the same samples for other antibody and it worked.

    Based on the protocol you sent, I do not believe that there is any protocol tips that I can give that will resolve the issue. Also we do not have any other lots of ab56087 or any otherMAP$4 phospho antibodies. Therefore, I can either send a different antibody as a free of charge replacement or I can refund the original purchase.

    On the 4/30/12ordered from you antibody against ph-MAP4, by PO number **********.

    Unfortunately using western blot the antibody didn’t show any band on the expected MW, but just high background all over. I wonder if you have another antibody against ph-MAP4 that I can try? If not, how I can return or get credit for it?

    I am sorry that you are having some issues with ab56087 in western blot. The antibody is covered under our Abpromise for six months and is guaranteed to work in western blot on human samples . If we cannot resolve the issue you are having with the antibody then I would be happy to either send a replacement antibody or to process a refund.
