    Product code: 96178
    Inquiry: I am looking for an anti-LIMCH1 antibody. You are offering 2 antibodies with overlaping sequences (ab130927, ab96178). Can you please specify the differences? Also, why the ab96178 antibody has a different MW in the picture than 119 kDa, as it should be?

    I would like to reassure you that our antibodies have all been tested successfully and would be covered by our guarantee in the applications listed on the datasheets. Therefore, any LIMCH1 antibody tested in the species and application you are using should be suitable for your applications.

    I can confirm that these two LIMCH1 antibdoies ab130927and ab96178 are indeed similar, although they have different immunogen sequences and different storage buffers. They are two different antibodies.

    With regards to the western blot band for ab96178, there are 9 different isoforms of this protein which would be detected at different band sizes. There is more information on these isoforms on the following Uniprot protein database page for this protein:

    The isoforms detected would depend on the sample used.

    Although we produce many in-house antibodies, we obtain other antibodies from a wide range of sources. Therefore, comparison experiments will not often have been done. If you wish to be more certain, we would usually suggest choosing the antibody that has been best characterized. By this I mean the antibody that has been tested in the most applications and has the most data available (on the datasheet).
