The gentamycin itself has a very low molecular weight andI unfortunatelydo not know how you could perform a Western blot with this (0.5kD). You would need to conjugate the Gentamycin to a carrier protein in order to be able to detect it in Western blot. Then the expected molecular weight would be the molecular weight of the carrier protein.

I can confirm that the antibody does recognise free Gentamycin in the assay performed in the lab. No other commercial sources of Gentamycin were tested.Additionnally, we can confirm that this antibodydoes recognise the HRP-conjugated hapten in the competitive ELISA.
