Immunoprecipitation - Anti-FXR1 antibody (AB245624)
FXR1 was immunoprecipitated from HEK-293T (human epithelial cell line from embryonic kidney transformed with large T antigen) whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) using ab245624 at 6 μg/reaction. Western blot was perfromed on the immunoprecipitate using ab245624 at 1 μg/ml.
Lane 1 : ab245624 IP in HEK-293T whole cell lysate.
Lane 2 : Control IgG in HEK-293T whole cell lysate.
Detection : Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Biological function summary
FXR1 is involved in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression important for normal cell function and development. It forms a complex with FMRP playing an important role in the transport and translation of specific subsets of mRNAs in neurons. This interaction suggests it contributes significantly to the synaptic plasticity mechanisms influencing learning and memory. Moreover FXR1 also seems to have functions in cell proliferation and muscle differentiation.
