Cell membrane. Localizes to lipid rafts. Removed from plasma membrane by HIV-1 Nef protein that increases clathrin-dependent endocytosis of this antigen to target it to lysosomal degradation. Cells were fixed with paraformaldehyde. The sample was incubated with the primary antibody (1/100 in 1% BSA in PBS) for 1 hour at 4°C.
