We would generally say that a homology of 85% and above are worth trying to see if there is cross reactivity. As we have not tested the antibody in any of these species we would not be able to guarentee its cross reactivity. The immunogen used to raise this antibody has been taken from within the residues 50-100 of human ELAV2/4 with accession number Q12926 (http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q12926).

This antibody binds to the RRM1 domain of isoforms 1 and 2.

The exact immunogen used to raise the Anti-ELAVL2 + ELAVL4 antibody (ab72603) is proprietary information. However, I am able to share with you that the immunogen used to raise this antibody is a synthetic peptide taken from the region 10-60 of human ELAVL2 with accession number Q12926 (http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q12926).



This antibody binds to isoform 1 and 2. If you would not mind sharing the sequences of the proteins you are interested I can check for the homology shared between these proteins and the immunogen in order to predict the cross reactivity.
