Really amazing........Thanks........If it works then ok...... I am expecting this type of helps from you in future also. We have been purchasing abcam antibodies through Allied Scientific Products, Kolkata and those are really worthy products. I have one more doubt about acetylation of a protein. By N-terminal acetylation of a protein, is it really mean that those protein can be directed or targeted to some specific site inside a cell. please answer if you have time......

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I am not an expert on DAP1 so I don't have any further information about what effect the acetylserine has in the cell. According to the uniprot database, the reference PMID 16602700 contains additional information about this specific acetylation. In general, post translational modifications of proteins can often lead to changes in their subcellular localization or expression level. I am sorry I could not be more helpful, please let me know if you have any further questions.

Question

I want to know about an antibody against human death associated protein 1 (dap1). In your website there are three products related to this protein. Do you have an antibody against the N-terminal acetylated dap1 protein. The acetylation is at N-terminal serine after removing the actual N-terminal methionine during post translational modifiation. Please help me in this regard.

Thank you for contacting us. We do not currently sell an antibody to DAP1 that is specific for the N-acetylserine modification. If you are looking to detect this modification, you may be able to perform an IP for the total DAP1 protein using ab32056 and perform a western blot on the IP product using an antibody designed to detect all acetylations such as ab193. I hope this helps, please let me know if you need any additional information.
