    • 功能

      Ca(2+)-dependent receptor for myeloid cells that binds to carbohydrates on neutrophils and monocytes. Mediates the interaction of activated endothelial cells or platelets with leukocytes. The ligand recognized is sialyl-Lewis X. Mediates rapid rolling of leukocyte rolling over vascular surfaces during the initial steps in inflammation through interaction with PSGL1.

      Stored in the alpha-granules of platelets and Weibel-Palade bodies of endothelial cells. Upon cell activation by agonists, P-selectin is transported rapidly to the cell surface.

      Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately this antibody is very unlikely to recognize the extracellular domain of the rat P-selectin, as it has been raised against a peptide surrounding amino acid 756. Indeed accordingly to SwissProt, amino acids 734 to 768 are the cytoplasmic domain of the rat P-selectin. http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P98106 We do have however two other antibodies against P-selectin which have been tested successfully to recognize the cell surface P-selectin, ab54427 and ab54426, as they work in flow cytometry without permeabilization.
