Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor® 488, ab150081) at 1/5000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody.

Flow cytometric analysis of Purified mouse platelets (Upper Right, Lower Left and Right) from mouse blood (Upper Left) cells labeling CD41 with ab323271 at 1/50 dilution (1ug) (Red) compared with a Rabbit monoclonal IgG (ab172730) / Left isotype control.

Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor® 488, ab150081) at 1/5000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody.

Platelets were isolated from mouse whole blood following the Abcam protocol "Isolation of Platelets from Whole Blood." https://www.abcam.com/en-us/technical-resources/protocols/isolation-of-human-platelets-from-whole-blood
Cells were co-stained with anti mouse CD61 conjugated to PE.

Integrin alpha-IIb/beta-3 (ITGA2B : ITGB3) is a receptor for fibronectin, fibrinogen, plasminogen, prothrombin, thrombospondin and vitronectin. It recognizes the sequence R-G-D in a wide array of ligands. It recognizes the sequence H-H-L-G-G-G-A-K-Q-A-G-D-V in fibrinogen gamma chain (By similarity). Following activation integrin alpha-IIb/beta-3 brings about platelet/platelet interaction through binding of soluble fibrinogen (By similarity). This step leads to rapid platelet aggregation which physically plugs ruptured endothelial cell surface (By similarity). Integrin ITGA2B : ITGB3 is also the receptor of erythrocyte-specific ICAM4 ligand involved in heterotypic cell-cell adhesion between erythrocytes and activated platelets (By similarity).
