HHT1 is an autosomal dominant multisystemic vascular dysplasia, characterized by recurrent epistaxis, muco-cutaneous telangiectases, gastro-intestinal hemorrhage, and pulmonary (PAVM), cerebral (CAVM) and hepatic arteriovenous malformations; all secondary manifestations of the underlying vascular dysplasia. Although the first symptom of HHT1 in children is generally nose bleed, there is an important clinical heterogeneity.

    The immunogen used to create this product spans from aa331-567 of human Endoglin (CD105, SwissProt: P17813 ). A BLAST of this sequence shows a 70% possible homology. This is well below our threshold for predicting cross reactivity however as we have not tested this specifically we cannot be sure of results.

    We do have some information that suggests, heat mediated antigen retrieval using citrate buffer would be successful for using ab114052 in IHC-P.
