We tested mouse samples only at two different concentrations, which is not ideal to verify linearity. We did get a significant signal, but there is not a satisfying reduction in signal at dilution 1/10 vs the neat sample. The rat values titrate out better. The data in the image on our datasheet is from undiluted mouse sample, as this is the dilution that I report the human and rat values.

We have therefore got a significant signal in mouse, but the linearity has not been fully assessed. As the standard curve is using Rat ANP, the accurate measurements for other species must be considered possibly skewed.

We do not guarantee these species, as the test has only been performed once with a limited number of dilutions, hence the linearity could not accurately be assessed (human is better than mouse at dilutions 1-1/10).

The lab has testd several plasma and serum samples, all at no dilution (1x). The value may be 0.3 ng/ml for human plasma/serum, but it may be higher or lower depending on the sample. Each sample is different and some optimization may be required.

Human plasma and serum has been tested with this kit. Rat EDTA plasma has also been tested, so human EDTA plasma should work with the kit as well.

We tried to find a concrete value to propose for the extraction kit, however this is not possible.We recommend that each laboratory does optimize the conditions, dilutions factor and extraction protocol according to the set up and the samples. It really depends on the samples and the research project. In general, our expertwould say if you can not get anOD valuefor your samples in the middle of the standard curve (around 0.5 ng/ml) than she would recommend todo the extraction protocol. However asthe level of ANP in healthy individuals is usually very low,most of the time you would perform then the extraction.I hope this information is nevertheless helpful.

As discussed on the telephone, I am sorry that asfar as we are aware, ab108797ANP Rat ELISA kithas never been tested with samples from horse. All tested species cross-reactivity information is stated on our datasheets, and these are updated as soon as any new information is brought to our attention. I am sorry that we also have no data from testing on saliva samples.

I have checked the alignment of the immunogen with the horse sequence. This has 96% alignment and so the antibodies in this kit are theoretically likely to detect the horse ANP protien. However, please note that we are not able to provide a guarantee for this species as it has not been tested.
