Urine samples should be centrifugred at 10,000 x g at 4C for 2 minutes. The supernatant can either be used immediately or aliquoted and stored at -20 or -80C. We have not performed a stability study over time to determine specifically how long the Cystatin C will be stable under these conditions.

It is very important for this assay to dilute samples so that the measurements are in the range of the standard curve.
The datasheet indicates a range from 4.1 pg/ml - 1000 pg/ml (= 0.041- 1 ng/ml) for the NGAL kit. The measurement from the pathology department shows that the sample concentration is 6-500 ng/ml, which would be too high to measure undiluted with the ab113326.
For the Cystatin kit the range of the standard curve is 0.312 ng/ml - 20 ng/ml, the sample contains 1-200 ng/ml measured by the pathology department. We would recommend to dilute this sample 1:10 and also to optimise the experiment by trying different dilutions for the measurement.
Another issue could be the pH of the undiluted urine samples. A low pH of the undiluted sample might interfere with the ELISA kit. However, we would not expect this as a problem using a diluted sample.

these has not been tested with Swine or pig samples so we are unable to confirm the species cross reactivity. It mean only ab100755, ab100756, ab108674, ab108794, ab113352, ab113353 are OK to use with Porcine samples and are guaranteed. Would you like to have a quote for these antibodies.
