Aurora kinase inhibitor (Ki values are 0.6, 18 and 4.6 nM for Aurora kinase A, B and C, respectively). Exhibits selectivity for Aurora kinase over 190 other protein kinases. Blocks cell-cycle progression and induces apoptosis in a diverse range of human tumor cell lines in vitro. Inhibits tumor growth in a variety of in vivo xenograft models.
