Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20°C. Generally, these will be useable for up to one week. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room temperature for at least 1 hour.

Biological function summary
APJ participates in cardiovascular function fluid homeostasis and energy metabolism. The receptor does not form traditional large complexes but works closely with its ligand apelin to exert its effects. APJ influences heart contractility blood vessel formation and blood pressure regulation. In the nervous system it contributes to neuroprotection and fluid balance. This receptor's ability to mediate significant physiological processes makes it an important player in maintaining homeostasis.
Pathways
APJ receptor engages in both the ACE2-Angiotensin-(1-7)-Mas receptor axis and the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. Through these pathways APJ is closely related to other proteins like Mas receptor (MasR) and Angiotensin II. It modulates vasodilation anti-inflammatory responses and apoptosis prevention. By participating in these pathways the APJ receptor helps regulate blood pressure and cardiovascular health.
