Additional Notes
We always use abcam p53 antibodies for mouse colon lysates and we were happy with them. But the newly purchased lot GR127782-3 doesn't seem to work that well - it gave me smudged bands. I attached my results with the new lot (GR127782-3) and the old GR127782-1 lot, so you can see the difference. I don't think that's a gel or transfer problem, since I cut the membrane and blotted lower part with different antibodies and the bans were nice. And I did it two times and they look the same. I am wondering if I can be caused by antibodies.
Abcam response
These 2 lots are from the same batch material. This issue was investigated. Unfortunately, the customer may have received a faulty vial and was offered a free of charge replacement.
