Abcam response
We would like to thank this customer for their valuable feedback. Mast Cell Tryptase contains an 18-residue signal sequence and a 12-residue activation peptide. The protein also has two potential glycosylation sites (Swissprot data). These post-translational modifications might explain the banding pattern observed in muscle. Mouse samples previously have not been tested with this antibody. We would like to hear from users who used this antibody in mouse.
The reviewer received a reward from Abcam’s Loyalty Program in thanks for submitting this Abreview and for helping the scientific community make better-informed decisions.
