I saw that there were 2 different Goat anti Rabbit Dye Light 488 antibodies on your website. One was pre-adsorbed. What is the difference between those two antibodies and what are the advantages for immunofluorescence experiments? The catalogue numbers are: ab 96983 and ab 98462

    Thank you for your inquiry. The antibodies ab96983 and ab98462 are essentially the same except that ab98462 is pre-adsorbed.  This means that ab98462 has been pretreated with the normal sera of human, mouse and rat to remove any cross-reactivity with these species.  This is important for customers who are doing multiple staining and worried about cross-reactivity with other species.
