Additional data
Additional Notes
I initially tested this Ab reagent on rat brain as I need a mouse monoclonal anti-microglial.
This Ab is negative for Microglia ( in p.wax sections, in my laboratory)
.... then I tested rat liver, spleen, kidney, lung, using dilution factors from 1/20-1/40 on paraffin wax sections, after Citric acid HIER.
All results were negative.
Submitted image is of adult rat liver: at 1/20 dilution factor there is no Kupffer cell positivity.
In rat brain there is no Microglial positivity with this Ab, imho, on P.wax sections.
Abcam response
We thank the researcher for their honest feedback. We do guarantee this product to work within rat for IHC-P, hence from this preliminary data further investigation is required to determine expression levels within all rat tissues.
The reviewer received a reward from Abcam’s Loyalty Program in thanks for submitting this Abreview and for helping the scientific community make better-informed decisions.
