Inhibits DNA replication by preventing the incorporation of MCM complex into prereplication complex (pre-RC). It is degraded during the mitotic phase of the cell cycle. Its destruction at the metaphase-anaphase transition permits replication in the succeeding cell cycle. -

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence analysis of U2OS cells labelling Geminin with ab175799 at 1:1000. Cells were fixed with PFA and permeabilized with methanol for 2 minutes. Cells were incubated with the primary anitbody overnight at room temperature. From left to right - Geminin, CyclinB, DAPI, Merge.
