The F(ab')2 fragment of sheep anti-rabbit IgG is isolated from a pepsin digest of antiserum. Immunospecific methods of purification were used to remove essentially all sheep serum proteins, including immunoglobulins, that do not specifically bind to rabbit IgG.
The Cy3-antibody conjugate is extensively dialyzed to remove unbound Cy3.
