% SDS-PAGE. ab73839 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Purity is greater than 95.0% as determined by RP-HPLC and SDS-PAGE.
Ligand binding to LRPAP1 is Ca2+ dependent and e.g. lipid receptors can be released from LRPAP1 by a buffer containing 10mM EDTA (cf. Bajari et al. 2005, see ref. below). Furthermore, buffers containing phosphate should be avoided (it would form precipitates with Ca2+).

Shipped at 4°C. Upon delivery aliquot. Store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle.
Reconstitute in sterile 18MO-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Upon reconstitution ab73839 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Interacts with LRP1/alpha-2-macroglobulin receptor and glycoprotein 330.
Note=In complex with the alpha-2-MR or gp330, it may have some role in the pathogenesis of membrane glomerular nephritis.
Belongs to the alpha-2-MRAP family.
