    Ube2N (also known as Ubc13) forms a heterodimeric complex with UBE2V1 (also known as Uev1), and is able to assemble K63-linked poly-ubiquitin chains which have novel regulatory roles. These ubiquitin chains have a role in a variety of processes such as DNA repair, endocytosis, polysome stability and signal transduction pathways.
