The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
ab91356 - Mouse monoclonal IgG1, is suitable for use as an isotype control with this antibody.
Use at an assay dependent concentration.
Is unsuitable for IHC-P or WB.
Part of the host defense system of polymorphonuclear leukocytes. It is responsible for microbicidal activity against a wide range of organisms. In the stimulated PMN, MPO catalyzes the production of hypohalous acids, primarily hypochlorous acid in physiologic situations, and other toxic intermediates that greatly enhance PMN microbicidal activity.
Defects in MPO are the cause of myeloperoxidase deficiency (MPD) [MIM:254600]. MPD is an autosomal recessive defect that results in disseminated candidiasis.
Detection of MPO in Wehi3BD+ cells. Red, black and blue line represent the isotype control, cells only and ab90812 at 20 μg/ml, respectively.
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections) - Anti-Myeloperoxidase antibody [2D4] (FITC) (ab90812)Image from El-Zaatari, Mohamad et al., PLoS ONE 8.3 (2013): e58935. doi: 10.1371/journal.pone.0058935.Fig S3C.
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections) analysis of mouse stomach tissue labeling Myeloperoxidase with ab90812 (green). 8 µm sections were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 min, washed in PBS twice, and then blocked with 20% donkey serum in PBS. β-gal (red), and DAPI (blue).
