WB Use a concentration of 0.03 - 0.1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 38 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 35 kDa).

Clinical manifestations include developmental delay, seizures, mental retardation, hypotonia, ataxia, progressive spastic quadriplegia.

    Observed band size : 37 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
  • ab60176 staining liver Arginase in murine liver tissue by Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections).
    Tissue was fixed in paraformaldehyde and then blocked using 5% BSA for 30 minutes. Samples were then incubated with ab60176 at a 1/50 dilution for 1 hour. The secondary used was a biotinylated horse anti-goat IgG, used at a 1/200 dilution.

    Lane 1 : Tissue extract prepared from mouse liver
    Lane 2 : Lysates prepared from RAW 264.7 murine macrophage cell line untreated
    Lane 3 : Lysates prepared from RAW 264.7 murine macrophage cell line treated with IL-4 10 ng/mL for 48 hours

    Lysates/proteins at 50 µg per lane.

    Secondary
    HRP conjugated rabbit anti-goat polyclonal IgG (H+L) at 1/10000 dilution
    Developed using the ECL technique

    Performed under reducing conditions.

    Predicted band size : 35 kDa
    Observed band size : 37 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
    Additional bands at : 30 kDa. We are unsure as to the identity of these extra bands.
