    This antibody has only been tested in WB against the recombinant fragment used as immunogen. We have no data on the detection of endogenous protein.

  • 靶标

    • 功能May be responsible for potassium buffering action of glial cells in the brain. Inward rectifier potassium channels are characterized by a greater tendency to allow potassium to flow into the cell rather than out of it. Their voltage dependence is regulated by the concentration of extracellular potassium; as external potassium is raised, the voltage range of the channel opening shifts to more positive voltages. The inward rectification is mainly due to the blockage of outward current by internal magnesium. Can be blocked by extracellular barium and cesium (By similarity). In the kidney, together with KCNJ16, mediates basolateral K(+) recycling in distal tubules; this process is critical for Na(+) reabsorption at the tubules.

    Anti-Kir4.1 antibody 图像

    • ab55380 staining Kir4.1 in zebrafish retina sections by IHC-Fr. The tissue was fixed with paraformaldehyde and an antigen retrieval step was performed with sodium citrate pH 6. Blocking of the sample was done with 5% BSA in PBS, for 60 minutes at 23°C, followed by staining with ab55380 at 1/200 in blocking solution for 16h at 4°C. An alexa 647conjugated goat anti-mouse polyclonal antibody at 1/1000 was used as the secondary antibody. Nuclei are stained in blue with DAPI. Kir4.1 expression can be observed in the IPL (inner plexiform layer) in purple.

    • Western blot against tagged recombinant protein immunogen using ab55380 KCNJ10 antibody at 1ug/ml. Predicted band size of immunogen is 38 kDa.
