KDM5/JARID (Lysine-specific demethylase 5) is a family of histone demethyltransferases involved in H3(meK4) specific demethylation. KDM5/JARID demethylases are JmjC proteins that remove di- and tri-methylation from H3(meK4) but have no activity on mono-methylated residues.
KDM5/JARID Activity Quantification Assay Kit (Colorimetric) (ab113463) is designed for the easy and fast colorimetric measurement of KDM5/JARID activity or inhibition. The antibody-based, immunospecific method directly detects KDM5/JARID-converted demethylated products, rather than by-products, in a 96 stripwell microplate format.
