This antibody reacts specifically with Sialyl Lewisa and recognizes an epitope being designated CA 19-9. It does not cross reacts with Lewisa and Lewisb. CA 19-9 has been shown to be useful marker in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal cancers.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
IHC-P: 1/25 - 1/50. An incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature is recommended. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining.
Not tested in other applications.
