The antibody was affinity purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.
Specifically phosphorylates the agonist-occupied form of the beta-adrenergic and closely related receptors, probably inducing a desensitization of them. Key regulator of LPAR1 signaling. Competes with RALA for binding to LPAR1 thus affecting the signaling properties of the receptor. Desensitizes LPAR1 and LPAR2 in a phosphorylation-independent manner.
Expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes.

Immunohistochemical analysis of adult mouse brain tissue, staining GRK2 (phospho S29) with ab58520.
Tissue was fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100and blocked with 10% horse serum for 1 hour at 20°C;. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/1000 in 10% horse serum in PBS + 0.1% Triton X-100) for 16 hours at 4°C. An AlexaFluor®488-conjugated donkey anti-rabbit polyclonal IgG (1/1000) was used as the secondary antibody.
