  • 相关性Dopamine (C6H3OH)2-CH2CH2NH2)is a catecholamine neurotransmitter in the brain. Its chemical name is 4-(2-aminoethyl)benzene-1,2-diol. Dopamine is a hormone released by the hypothalamus. Its main function is to inhibit the release of prolactin from the anterior lobe of the pituitary. It can be used as a sympathomimetic drug, producing effects such as increased heart rate and blood pressure.

Dopamine conjugated with BSA has been used as the immunogen. However, the antibody is not conjugated.

According to literature data dopamine cross-links to some intracellular component during fixation/permeabilization and it remains inside the cell.

This antibody was raised against human dopamine, cross reactivity with other species has not yet been tested.

1% BSA solutions should be uses as normal as a blocking agent in IHC for both the primary and the secondary antibody. The immunogen was a dopamine-BSA conjugate, BSA faciltates the immune response.

This antibody is a mouse monoclonal (IgG1) to human dopamine, not to the D-2 receptor. As far as we are aware, the antibody has not yet been tested in mouse.
