功能DNA helicase which plays a role in chromatin-remodeling following DNA damage. Targeted to sites of DNA damage through interaction with poly(ADP-ribose) and functions to regulate chromatin during DNA repair. Able to catalyze nucleosome sliding in an ATP-dependent manner. Helicase activity is strongly stimulated upon poly(ADP-ribose)-binding.

Detection of CHD1L in Immunoprecipitates of 293T whole cell lysates (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) using ab118799 at 6 µg/mg lysate for IP (Lane 1). For WB detection an anti-CHD1L antibody which recognizes an upstream epitope was used at 1 µg/ml. Lane 2 represents control IgG IP. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.
