The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Use a concentration of 10 µg/ml.
Use at an assay dependent concentration.
ab170190 - Mouse monoclonal IgG1, is suitable for use as an isotype control with this antibody.
Essential for the proper assembly of the glomerular and tubular basement membranes in kidney.
Expressed in a variety of tissues including vascular endothelium and epidermis. Expressed on erythroid cells, with a higher level of expression in erythroid precursors than on mature erythrocytes.
Defects in CD151 are the cause of nephropathy with pretibial epidermolysis bullosa and deafness (NPEBD) [MIM:609057]. NPEBD is characterized by the association of hereditary nephritis, epidermolysis bullosa, deafness, and beta-thalassemia minor.
ICC/IF image of ab27406 stained HeLa cells. The cells were 4% formaldehyde (10 min) and then incubated in 1%BSA / 10% normal goat serum / 0.3M glycine in 0.1% PBS-Tween for 1h to permeabilise the cells and block non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with the antibody (ab27406, 10µg/ml) overnight at +4°C. The secondary antibody (green) was for 1h. Alexa Fluor® 594 WGA was used to label plasma membranes (red) at a 1/200 dilution for 1h. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue) at a concentration of 1.43µM.
