The causative bacterial agent of cat scratch disease has been identified as Bartonella henselae. In the past, complicated silver stains and/or PCR were used to identify and confirm this agent.
Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab704 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
|IHC-P||1/50 - 1/100. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval via the pressure cooker method before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
Use ABC amplification. Bartonella henselae is a very small rod-shaped bacteria and it is much easier to identify these under the microscope by using a red chromogen such as AEC. A magnification of 100 X (oil) is recommended for positive identification.
