We have only previously tested the antibody with mouse, rat, and human samples. It is possible that it does not cross-react with Apteronotus, but we would also suggest incubating the antibody with the membrane overnight at 4C, and reducing the blocking time to 1 hour at room temperature to see if the results improve.
