The antibody was applied on 16 µm frozen sections of brown ghost knifefish brain. No positive, specific signal was observed. Antigen retrieval using Tris EDTA (pH 9.0) or citrate buffer (pH 6.0) did not improve the results.
Abcam response
The customer tested this antibody in the previously untested species of Apteronotus leptorhynchus using a testing offer of Abcam. Unfortunately it seems that this antibody is unsuitable for Apteronotus leptorhynchus and we can therefore not recommend this antibody for this species.
